Meet Our Teachers
Guten Tag, my name is Eva. I live in the south of Germany with my husband and our three children. I am a State Certified Translator for English and German and have a PhD in Egyptology. I started teaching German as a second language to expats living in Germany in 2018, and after Covid hit, I began giving lessons online to Chinese College students.
For me, teaching German is not only about grammar and vocabulary – it is also about the culture, the history, the people and looking beyond the clichés of Sauerkraut and Oktoberfest. It is my goal to find the best way to teach German to each individual student according to their inclinations and
abilities.

What German courses do you offer?
We offer 1:1 lessons tailored to your level and needs. Our lessons follow the Common
European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) that outlines the proficiency an
individual can attain at each level. There are a total of six levels within the CEFR:
* A1: Beginner/Breakthrough
* A2: Basic/Waystage
* B1: Lower Intermediate/Threshold
* B2: Upper Intermediate/Vantage
* C1: Advanced/Effective Operational Proficiency
* C2: Mastery/Proficiency
How do I know which level is for me?
When you contact us, we will put you in touch with our teacher for a complimentary
consultation where she evaluates your level orally and informs you about of how
many hours are needed to reach your goal.
Is the teacher native?
Yes, she is.
Do you help students prepare for international certification exams?
Yes, we do. Our teachers have the skills to prepare students for major German
certifications and offer tips on the exam itself.
Do you offer any group courses?
We do. We offer German courses in September, January and in the summer. Please
check our German page regularly for updates on German group courses.
